P2P for Garage Bands
Konrad Hilbers, the new (Bertelsmann-appointed CEO) of Napster, in The Register:
I’m very much a believer in what Napster stands for, which is the sharing of music among friends and private consumers when it comes to making available things like my children’s Christmas carol singing or a garage band.
Um, I don’t really have that deep a desire to hear the Hilbers’ children carolling. And even if I do, I’d use Gnutella. Or Morpheus.

Mr Tambourine Man
Bob Dylan - Mr. Tambourine Man:
My weariness amazes me, I’m branded on my feet,
I have no one to meet
And the ancient empty street’s too dead for dreaming.
This is — and remains — one of my all-time favorite numbers. I’m writing about it because today I heard The Byrds’ version of this number. Radio friendly pop or not, it sucks. Especially when compared to the dreamy addictive power of the original.

IDF’s New Lethal Weapons
The Jerusalem Post: IDF using nude women soldiers. Somehow, I am inclined to think that these reports are somewhat exaggerated. She may have only been looking for a clip of ammo or two :-).
